The province of Cavite is located on the southern shores of Manila Bay in the CALABARZON region of Luzon. Because of its close proximity to the capital Manila (21 kilometers only), Cavite is becoming one of the fastest growing provinces in the country. Cavite stood witness to more than three centuries of Spanish rule in the Philippines and is known as the Historical Capital of the country; Agro industrial hub south of Manila and the cradle of Philippine Revolution. It is bounded by Laguna to the east, Metro Manila to the northeast, and Batangas to the south.

For those who generate income from the province, their main source of livelihood is agriculture. Despite rapid urbanization and industrialization, a significant number of Cavitenos are still engaged in agribusiness.

Mountain climbing is also one of most famous outdoor activities in Cavite. This includes the famous Mount Pico de Loro and Mt. Marami.

Getting Around

Cavite is accessible from Manila through buses and Tamaraw-FX taxis. They usually take the Roxas Blvd. Coastal Road, passing through Bacoor, Imus, Kawit, and Noveleta. Others are bound for Rosario, Naic, or Tanza and passing by the same towns. There are also mini-buses going to Tagaytay and Trece Martirez, passing by the towns of Bacoor, Imus, Silang, Indang, and others. These mini-buses ply the Paranaque-Las Pinas route. Getting around one town and moving to the next is easy. Jeepneys and tricycles are found in every town, ready to take you around.
