Medical Tourism in the Philippines
According to McKinsey & Company, at least 85,000 Americans choose to travel abroad for medical procedures each year. Common treatments include cardiology, rheumatology, cataract surgery, bone marrow transplants, dental implants, hip and knee replacements, LASIK, and cosmetic surgery. Top hospitals offering these services used to be located in the capital of Manila, but nowadays many new, modern hospitals have been built outside the capital.
