Subic
Former home to a large American Naval Base, Subic is a Freeport Zone that uniquely combines eco-wilderness, industrial parks, world-class hotels, and awesome beaches. Subic is a first class municipality in the province of Zambales located along the northern coast of Subic Bay, three hours away from the capital city Manila. It is bounded on the north by the municipality of Castillejos, on the southeast by the city of Olongapo, and on the west by the municipality of San Antonio.

Getting Around
You can take a cab at the main SBMA gates in Olongapo or book one by phone which you can collect anywhere inside Subic. Cabs here do not have a meter service like the ones in Metro Manila. Just check the fixed rates displayed in the cab. There are no jeepneys inside the Freeport Zone but you can catch them between Olongapo Bus Station and the Barreto and Baloy beach areas. Pedicabs, too, are not allowed in Subic, but they are plentiful around Olongapo City, Barretto and Baloy beach areas.
